Artist Message:

Everything on this map of England is created in the style of Tolkien. The influence of his technique flows through the rivers and is reflected in the mountains of the Lake District, the Pennines, and the lines of the rugged coasts. Even the place names are written in an elegant yet clean elvish style font to make England feel even more wonderful.

I have brought together the forests, hills, and mountains that give England its character, from the northern fells and the Peak District to the countryside and coastline of the south-west. Individual trees and mountain symbols sit alongside the winding waterways, with each part of the landscape arranged to work together as a whole.

I have also included a scale in miles and labelled the surrounding waters, including the Irish Sea, North Sea, Celtic Sea, and English Channel. Cities, towns, and places across the country are labelled in striking red to create contrast with the black of the mountains, rivers, and forest canopies. A compass with an English lion completes the map.

The mountains, rivers, trees, and sea weave together to create something timeless that would pique the interest of any onlooker, while keeping the familiar outline and places of England at its heart.

I ordered the map of the USA as an Elvish map, and it looks great! The service was surprisingly quick as well. I ordered it framed with wooden frame, and furthermore I ordered it about a week before Christmas, and it still showed up just after Christmas (not an issue, since I ordered it for me). So the shipping speed is excellent. The map was well packaged and protected (which is good, because it looks like the box took some hits along the way), and arrived in great shape. The sale price was helpful too! ;-) I would definitely do business with this company again!
